Prose (Irma_Astry)

Prose is one of the literary subject series obligatory to students of the third semester. It provides students with basic knowledge related to literary works, especially prose. The subject helps students to deepen their insights that lead to the improvement of their English proficiency. Besides, the text and assignments contributes to the students reading and communication skills. The materials include definition of prose, types of prose, and elements of prose. During the course, the students are introduced to several authors with their works, both novels and short stories. Discussion, listening to lectures, and doing the assignments are some of the students’ activities in the subject. It is expected that students will be able to read at least ten works and learn new insights that will also be useful for their English learning.
